Walls and Ceilings for the adhesion of cornice or plasterboard  etc

• remove the set coat (white) of  plaster as the original paints were white wash or calcimine
• mark out walls and prepare where the adhesive is to go
• wet down the exposed mortar and pre-fill with adhesive before fixing the work
• avoid the outcome in the bottom picture where this was not done properly
• leads to dust leakage from roof space and eventually the cornice falls down
